Project 1

Week 3: Landing Page Design

For project 1 we have to create and design a website on our own. But first, we had to design our landing page. Mr.Shamsul gave us some time during class to search on the website category which we are interested in, then analyze the target audience and call to action. We have to show it to him and explain it in class.

Topic: Spicy Hotpot 

Purpose: For customers to get info of the restaurant and customize their own dish, also for online ordering or delivery 

Target Audience: Malaysians, food lovers, spicy lovers

After that, we had to come out with sketches according to the wireframe Mr.Lun provided in google classroom.

I did my sketch in Adobe Illustrator referring to the Wireframe provided by Mr.Lun. I also included my color palette and font typefaces that I intended to use.

Feedback

Week 3: The idea and website are very clear, you may proceed with your sketches due next week.

Week 4: Mr.Lun said its better to only use two fonts, make sure the image is not distorted and the slogan is visible. Refer to the visual references see how they manage the pages.

Reflection

Week 3: The reason why I chose food is that I like to eat and I normally search for food online, so I think this would be an interesting topic for me.

Week 4: Designing web page is not easy, although I don't have full interest on websites but I did enjoy the process of it. It's just hard to decided which color to use all the time.
