Research Implementation (Primary Data)
Week 9:
Make them available for discussion in shared Google Drive folder #3 (Primary Research). Thoroughly consider the pros and cons of the way we design your research, selecting participants or sampling that best to be involved in your research, choosing specific methods and instruments to be used. Ultimately the why, what, who, where, and how is essential to be considered in this primary research design. Best to have the design of your questions (Qualitative, interview, or Quantitative, questionnaire survey) ready for this week's tutorial session.TASKS:
- Get checked on primary research planning phase draft
- further understanding on what is to expect from the sample showed during class
- Will revise further on the planning of the research include more information and details
- Will revise the questions and consider them wisely
- Come out with plan B
- Will transfer to google slides once revised

Week 10:
Sharing screen sessions with all of the students so that we could learn from each other. We are not going into small groups for this week. Share our revised primary research proposal and progression sheet.- Show Dr.Hayati and classmates on my revised proposal
- share my screen and listen to what they have to say
- while waiting for my turn, learn from what other classmates have and take note so that I could add on to my own proposal

Week 11:
Sharing sessions with all of the students so that we could learn from each other. Volunteering basis. We are not going into small groups like last week. Share our data/responses gotten from primary research and get feedback from Dr.Hayati. Update feedback sheet although is not being checked.TASKS:
- Show Dr.Hayati my progression on primary data collection
- update progression sheet
- Don’t close the google survey so soon

Link to my Primary Data Collection:
Week 12:
Dr.Hayati check if all students fully understood her explanation and the research topic we are researching on. Q&A section with Dr.Hayati one by one. She go with the ones that are having problems with their research first.TASKS:
Feedback
- Rate the understanding of tutorial in chat box
- Show progress or ask questions
- Dr.Hayati showed senior example and explained appendix
After finalizing my data, I move on to analyzing data phase. We are told to place our Primary Research Report with the chosen methodology and justification, data findings, and analysis in slides format sequentially. (Example: Phase 1 (Quantitative survey distribution), Phase 2 (Qualitative - Online interview), and for those who have Phase 3 (Qualitative - Focus Group or Visual Analysis), etc. Lastly convert the PPT file into PDF before uploading it to Google Classroom.

Feedback
Week 9: Good thing that you designed the questions but the questions need to be structured in order, focused, best to divide them into sections. Simple random sampling is not quite suitable for this research topic since it focuses on moba games. People who do not play these games would also be targeted if using simple random samples, find another suitable method. For focus group interview, since its semi structured sub questions need to be prepared in advance depends on how the interview goes. Make sure to update your progression sheet. Refer to week 7 class materials for email or f2f interview format.
Week 10: Your interview questions should focus more on how this moba game interview would benefit you as a designer in the future. Focus group is different from an interview. Focus group is having a group of people play the game before joining the group discussion and answering the questions. Interviewing one by one is another method of quantitative interviewing. I will make room for you to think about it and identify the differences and make consideration and decision. But there is not much time for you since it's week 10 so you have to work fast on considering other methods.
Week 11: Update your progression sheet although we did not go through it today. You could use regression or any graph to analyze your questions. Choose the ones that are important which relate to your research objectives. If possible try to get more people out of Asia, be more diverse.
Week 12: I expect you all to transfer all of your data into slides format at this stage. You need to judge as a researcher, you do need to analyze every response but pick the one that has a strong answer which can backup your research objectives. As expected, Sunday 20th June 2021 is the dateline report of all the primary data findings that you have gathered up-to-date in the form of sequential slides (PPT file and convert to PDF for submission). As examples, Phase 1 (Quantitative survey distribution), Phase 2 (Online interview), and for those who have Phase 3 (Focus Group or Visual Analysis), etc. As mentioned, you are expected to have chosen a minimum of two research instruments that may have adopted from both methodologies (Quantitiative+Qualitative or Qualitative+Qualitative) for this primary data collection process. As discussed during the past weekly tutorial sessions, you are encouraged to descriptive to the chosen methods and instruments that were considered appropriate to your research topic. The analysis of the findings is expected to be tabled out in this submission. However, as mentioned in the briefing/tutorial sessions, any delay of responses from the participants is to be consolidated subsequently in the final research report (Assignment #4) as well as in the 5 minutes presentation video of the week 15 submission.
