Critical Review

Week 5: 

Get brief of critical review and 5 articles needed.

TASKS:

• create 5 CR folders and articles folder in critical review file drive
• Watched recorded lectures and notes
• work on critical review
• read entire 5 articles not scheme through

Week 6:

Get checked on critical review and get feedback. We were expected to have at least 2 or more critical reviews done by this week. We were to expect to have 3 articles ready since proposal state, and 5 articles identified by week 6 current state. This is to benefit us in section 2 of our dissertation writing in future.

TASKS:

• 5 articles identified
• watched recorded lectures and notes
• at least 2 critical review done
• make sure all citations are in APA7 version
• make sure to have in text citations

Week 7:

Get feedback on critical reviews. We are expected to finish five critical reviews by now (week7). Our reviews are being commented but only scheme through. We have to reflect on the other reviews so that we could avoid mistakes made by rushing through the deadline.

• 5 critical review done
• watched recorded lectures and notes
• gotten comments on CR#1

Week 8:

Independent Week: Submit critical review after revising them. Go through recorded lectures & notes for week 6 & 7. Explore primary research methods and construct a research plan (qualitative&quantitive) or questionnaires. Justify them and make a plan B if the current plan does not work.

TASKS:

• submit 5 critical review combined in 1 document pdf and turn in on google classroom
• watched recorded lecture & notes
• explore the research methods and understanding them
• deciding on the method wanted to take part, instruments and platforms
• design on questionnaires, interview questions

Feedback

Week 5: 

• Not allowed to use the thesis, only can be part of the references.
• Proposal slides could be more colorful since it relates to games.
• Fix some grammar mistakes
• References follow the APA7 version.

Week 6:

• Maximum 2 pages, if needed can go to 2 and half pages.
• Reduce the spacing to 1.5
• Is good to have supportive article included which benefits in writing dissertation

Week 7: 

• refer to Dr.jinchi slides and recorded item to follow the format
• hear voice recording
• fix grammar mistakes
• reflect on the other four reviews to avoid mistakes from rushing through the deadlines.
